Senior Field Instrumentation Technician

Diversified Staffing Services, a leading Staffing Agency in Alberta, is currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician. Our client, located in NE Calgary, is a leader in the Emissions Monitoring industry.

The Role:

• Preparing tools, parts and equipment for various projects
• Installing and supporting new hardware components
• Scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance
• Performing equipment calibrations in the shop and at client sites
• Troubleshooting and responding to emergency maintenance in the field
• Shop maintenance, inventory counts and parts shipments
• Completing all applicable documentation
• Providing support as needed to clients and team members

Required Skills

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A minimum 3-5 years’ related experience
• Post-secondary education in Instrumentation, Automation, Environmental Sciences or Engineering
• Knowledge of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems, Gas Analyzers and Control Systems
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude
• The ability to perform physical activities including heavy lifting and working at heights
• Proficiency with computer software
• The ability to travel on a regular basis along with being on-call every 6-8 weeks
• A valid Class 5 License and Clean Driver’s Abstract
