Description

Duties may include:

• Assist with construction, demolition, or maintenance projects
• Construct, erect, install and strip wood
• General labour duties
• Working outdoors
• Site cleanup as required
• Perform physical labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Operate hand tools and power tools as needed
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
• Perform general cleaning and organization of job site
• Complete task hazard assessments and maintain a safe work environment

Required Skills

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Having valid tickets such as Fall Arrest Certificate, CSTS and WHMIS, etc. is an asset
• Own your own tools is an asset
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Experience in rough carpentry
• Have experience in Cribbing / Framing / Deficiencies etc.
• Have the ability to work with Superintendents and Foremen effectively and safely
